We have two longstanding GPs offering years of experience to our valued patients. Our young female GP is keen to teach registrars, and specialises in children’s care and women’s health. We have an onsite registered nurse as well as allied health services, including a dietician and psychologist.

Dr. Thomas- Hoang Le
Accepting new patients.
Dr Thomas is a GP registrar with the RACGP, available from Monday to Friday. Dr Thomas graduated from the University of Newcastle and spent multiple years on the Central Coast in the hospital system, working in a variety of both medical, surgical and emergency wards.
Special areas of interest include chronic disease management, paediatrics and ear nose throat medicine. His interests outside of medicine include soccer, hiking, and watching films.
Dr. Kumar Kaliyaperumal
Dr. Kumar began working for the Family Medical Centre in April 2020 as one of the key business partners. He completed his basic surgical training in UK after graduating in India in 1998. Upon relocating to Australia, he worked in the emergency department in Calvary Mater hospital and trained as a physician for six years in the John Hunter hospital.
In 2012, Dr. Kumar started working as a country GP in Singleton and as the Visiting Medical Officer at Singleton District Hospital. He has completed the Fellowship of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). Along with country general practice, his interests are chronic disease management, such as diabetes, heart failure, stroke and palliative care. He is also interested in skin cancer management including advanced skin surgical procedures and complete family planning services including MTOP (medical termination of pregnancy).
Dr. Yogalakshmi Murugesan
Dr. Yoga Murugesan is a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is a valued doctor at Kurri Kurri Family Medical Centre. She is interested in all aspects of medicine but has additional interests in children’s health. She deals with a wide range of issues from behavioural problems and mental health issues to more common matters such as asthma, allergies and ear infections. Dr. Yoga has special interest in women’s health and has developed her skills with specialised training provided by external courses. Her women’s health care includes but is not limited to antenatal care, contraceptive advice, menopause advice and PAP smears. She is also qualified to assist with mental health problems and chronic disease management.
Dr. Yoga treats all patients with high-quality care and works to the best of her abilities to fulfil her patients’ needs. She is a lovely doctor with a young family. Her relaxed and calm approach puts her patients at ease.
